Independent Jewellers Ltd is a jewelry store located in Winnipeg, Canada, that’s locally recognized for offering the most iconic brands in the world for engagement rings, wedding bands, luxury watches, and other fine jewelry.
IJL’s legacy over the years has led the store to be the main option for luxury lovers in Winnipeg.
The Brief
There was a need for IJL to keep pushing on engagement rings and wedding bands, especially after many proposals and weddings were canceled or postponed due to the global pandemic. These products were key to getting the brand back on track as many people decided to allocate their resources to essentials instead of luxury products.We needed to showcase and promote again a product that is very recognized for its quality and design.

There was an opportunity to celebrate love and IJL’s legacy in Manitoba by highlighting real couples who found their rings at IJL. Instead of using models or stock imagery, we decided to use real couples and real IJL customers.
By emphasizing the fact that we’ve been around since 1937, we had a platform to share emotions and the brand’s quality, service, and wide selection.

We decided to use one of the largest and most iconic billboards at one of the busiest intersections in Winnipeg in the name of love. We helped an IJL customer say YES in a memorable way.
