BRING IN THE SUBS by MASTERCARD

The United States hosted the Copa America for the second time, and Mastercard had a clear goal—to connect in a relevant way with Hispanic small business owners to show them how to use their multiple tools and products.

Hispanic small business owners face multiple obstacles to thriving. And yet their contribution to the U.S. economy is huge.

65% of Hispanic business owners say they need access to capital

Only 20% of Hispanic business owners that asked for a loan exceeding $100 were accepted

Hispanic-owned businesses are the fastest-growing segment of small businesses in the country.

[34% v.s. 1%]

Overcoming obstacles is a mindset they always bring to everything, including fútbol, through a well-known mantra and fútbol chant.

SÍ SE PUEDE (YES, WE CAN)

Mastercard recognizes and celebrates the relentless spirit of Hispanics and supports the unstoppable driving force of small business owners with the right tools and solutions.

Now we can help them go from SÍ SE PUEDE to SÍ SE PUDO (YES, WE DID!)

To showcase it, we identified that they are so committed to their business that they never take days off, but they deserve a break or the chance to enjoy one of their passions: fútbol. We decided to find the right subs so they could enjoy the COPA AMÉRICA. Cristo Fernández, famously known for his role on TED LASSO, and Héctor Herrera, professional fútbol player, took over.
